On January 29, 2019, at the annual PACE Group of Thomasville board retreat, five members were honored with plaques for their many years of service to PACE and Thomasville.

The five members, Hazel Prevo, Pete Davis, Betty Almond, Aldeen Robbins, and Dale Everhart became the first members of the newly established PACE Board Emeritus. The new Emeritus members have a combined 104 years of service to PACE and to the ongoing mission of the revitalization of downtown Thomasville.

This group were present during the early formative years of PACE when the direction for downtown revitalization was established. This group was heavily involved in placing street lamps, underground wiring, streetscapes, and building the Farmers Market, Pace Park and Amphitheater.

Doug Elliott, President, introduced the program and Jim Gregory, immediate Past President, presented the plaques along with comments about each member and their accomplishments. Gregory thanked each member for their service and mentioned the wide variety of talents that will be missed moving forward.
